SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safety and well being of all guests and employees on the property.  Assisting with guest and employee vehicle issues on the property of Four Winds Casino as well as responding to all medicals that take place outside to assist with traffic control.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Ensure safety and well being of guests and employees while conducting routine patrol utilizing a designated Security Vehicle on their designated shift.
  • Ensure all property on the exterior of Four Winds Casino is safe, secure, and in working order. This includes performing exterior door checks and/or walkthroughs of Human Resources Building, external storage/warehouse facilities, Jacuzzi area, ect.
  • Provide Management with current weather condition updates during times of Inclement Weather.
  • Escort Medical or Police personnel to designated locations and provide them access into the buildings, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and complete record of incidents via Incident Reports.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory levels of stocked equipment inside designated vehicle(s).
  • Accurately complete Vehicle Condition Report before and after designated shift.
  • Immediately report damaged or missing equipment to Management.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work space.
  • Escort and observe guests and employees as needed to ensure their safety and protection
  • Identify potential hazards and reports it to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.
  • Become familiar with hazardous materials used on the exterior property and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing them.
  • Utilize all Four Winds provided equipment in a safe manner and for the intended use.
  • Interact with guests and employees in a positive, professional manner.
  • Assist guest/employee with flat tires by changing tire or replacement of air
  • Assist guest/employee with dead batteries by jump starts
  • Assist guest/employee with gaining entry into their personal vehicle
  • Contact Dispatch for third-party assistance when guest/employee need is outside Officer’s abilities and/or the situation is unsafe
  • Maintain a series of keys, accessing locked areas, as necessary.
  • Verify that video/audio monitoring device has been activated before starting daily patrols.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold a valid state issued driver license

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. 

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.  Ability to write effective reports and memos.  Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests.  Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to interpret data from graphs. 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  A casino environment is typically smoky.
