Position Overview:
Looking for dynamic individuals who have a passion for working with adolescents! The Homeless Youth program at Youth Outreach Services seeks to provide youth ages 18-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with assistance in achieving and maintaining independence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify homeless youth within specified communities that would benefit from YOS services.
- Provide services to youth such as safety/needs assessment, case management, life skills training, referral linkage, education assistance, and advocacy.
- Coordinate with the Homeless Youth Case Manager in developing service plans for each youth.
- Assist in providing services to the youth who reside within the YOS transitional living program such as life skills training and educational groups.
- Provide education to community partners (schools, police departments, social service agencies, etc) about agency services and maintain connections for referrals.
- Attend community outreach events as scheduled
- Identify and maintain partnerships with community resources that can benefit youth served.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required. Some college courses particularly in human development/human services helpful.
- Experience working with youth in juvenile justice, child welfare, residential center, homeless youth program, or other community-based setting required
- Experience with outreach programs and knowledge of community resources preferred
- Driver's license and daily access to own vehicle required
- Spanish language ability helpful
