Outreach Facilitator ( North Port)

Job description

Girls Inc. of Sarasota County is seeking a part-time Outreach Facilitator to join our team. This person would be responsible for learning the provided curriculum, implementing lessons, and facilitate support services to students in Sarasota County. This is a flexible position that operates in multiple schools across the county to offer small group sessions, offering services to girls who need support in navigating personal situations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and providing care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered
• Providing individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
• Creating and distributing educational content
• Communicate progress and updates with schools and Director of Programs Administration to ensure continuum of care
• Track data for grant reporting purposes monthly
• Meet weekly in person with team for information sharing and peer to peer guidance

Requirements:

• Experience working with youth in a school or structured setting
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge
• Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
• Compassionate with teamwork skills
• Creative and energetic
• Aware of the trauma-informed approach and resiliency-based solutions
• Transportation or access to transportation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
