Form of workCenter for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Outreach and Provider Recruitment Specialist to work with our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) team. This position will Conduct outreach through various means including community networking with local non-profits and businesses, brochure and poster distribution.
Attend health fairs, school events, and take advantage of every available opportunity to educate the public about available resources and services. Coordinate and host informational sessions to recruit I/DD foster care providers, personal support workers and residential providers. Work to improve public knowledge of programs and services.The Requirements: Knowledge of intellectual and development disabilities and services in Oregon preferred.Bachelor's Degree in related field or any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the above duties.Excellent organizational skills.Proficiency with computers including word processing, spreadsheets, emails and internet research.Previous experience in social services and/or outreach preferredAbility to work with diverse cultures.Work independently as well as part of a self-managed team.Must possess a valid Oregon Driver's license and be insurable for client service purposes, travel between business offices, and to attend required meeting and/or trainings.
Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR 407-007-0200-407-007-0370 and drug screening.The Essentials: Host and participate in outreach events throughout the county, and provide information and education specific to I/DD services Develop and maintain close working relationships with stakeholders, community members and organizations within Union County to better support and integrate the I/DD program.Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekend for outreach events. Must maintain punctual and regular work attendance. Must have the ability to maintain positive and professional working relationships with co-workers, clients, and other agencies.
