Children's Home Society Community Based Services is currently seeking a full time Therapist to provide therapeutic services to children, youth, and families in the program.
What You'll Do:
- Complete assessments, screening, and other documentation during the evaluation phase of treatment for each client.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, prepare treatment plan reviews, and discharge summaries with treatment team.
- Consult with other service providers as needed.
- Provide therapy to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure client's needs are met appropriately.
- Maintain positive working relationship with community resources and referral agencies.
- Complete required reports and other documentation.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of foster/adoptive parent training as needed.
- Actively participate in required trainings. Maintain licensure requirements.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of an annual training curriculum for foster/adoptive parents.
- Assist with development of program forms, as necessary.
- Provide public education presentations, as necessary.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, schools, and universities as applicable.
- Compile monthly, quarterly and annual statistics and other data as requested.
- Provide on-call support, as necessary.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday daytime hours, but flexible schedule (evening hours) is required. 40 hrs/week.
Compensation: $50,000 + depending on education and experience.

Requirements
Experience/Education/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services field required.
- Must be working towards or have obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Must have, be eligible, or working towards eligibility to obtain a Certified Social Worker Licensure or Licensed Professional Counselor, able to provide therapy in the state of South Dakota.
- Two years' experience in children and/or family programs required.
- Must be, or have the ability to be, certified as Adoption Competent.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Normal office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, etc. Extended PC viewing and keyboarding required. Extended periods of sedentary work required. Client home visits may be required. Some evening work.
