Position Purpose:
The Outpatient Infusion RN at Saint Mary's Hospital will primarily be responsible for administering treatments such as immunotherapy and providing supportive care.
What you will do:
- Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively
- Accountable for patient and family teaching discussing treatment process and goals, direct patient care, assessing patients at the start of treatment and throughout, symptom/side effect management as patient condition changes, and counseling
- Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided
- Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred
- Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut
- Certification: BLS CPR required; ACLS preferred
- Experience: 1-3 years Acute care or IV Experience is required
