Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic Manager

Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Outpatient Behavioral the person will provide supervision and leadership to staff at the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic. The position will plan, direct, and coordinate operational and personnel activities to ensure provision of high quality patient care. This role includes collaboration and communication utilizing participative decision making when appropriate. This position is also responsible for promoting ongoing development of staff and maintaining a professional environment. and providing patient care support. 
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provides supervision and clinical expertise to staff in the clinic area.
  2. Works collaboratively with the Administrator on hiring and orienting new staff, personnel management and performance evaluations.
  3. Documents and tracks performance improvement activities.
  4. Provides staff supervision and demonstrates clear expectation of accountability based on job descriptions Monitors staffing and patient census, promoting teamwork, communication and patient flow within the clinic.
  5. Collaborates with providers and other departments to ensure coordinated patient care and team environment is maintained.
  6. Monitors activities for quality of procedures, positive customer service and patient-centered care in the assigned clinics.
  7. Reviews and revises policies and procedures with the Administrator and/or Section Chief.
  8. Maintains clinical competency to provide leadership for stuff
  9. Processes KRONOS time cards 11.􀃺 assigned.
  10. Assists with budget monitoring and preparation.
  11. Provides direct clinical patient care support and procedures as needed.
  12. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting guidelines and agencies' policies.
  13. Responds to consultative needs of the department.
  14. Evaluates the effectiveness of the care given by interdisciplinary care team. identifies challenges and counsels team members on solutions.
  15. Prepares and presents external presentations as assigned within scope of practice and knowledge.
  16. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Two years outpatient clinic experience.
  2. Associate Degree in Nursing.
  3. Current RN license recognized by the State of Iowa Board of Nursing
  4. Demonstrated leadership abilities
  5. BLS Certification
  6. Advanced computer experience
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 2+ years supervisory experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  3. Current RN license recognized by the State of Iowa 13oard of Nursing
  4. Proficiency in Word and Excel
  5. Bi-lingual
  6. EHR experience
  7. Meditech experience
