Outlet Store Sales Associate

We are currently seeking a Sales Associate for our Kaplan Outlet Store. Our Kaplan Outlet Store, located just west of Winston-Salem in Lewisville, NC, is a favorite shopping spot of parents and teachers offering one-stop resource for all early childhood needs from infancy to 8th Grade.

About the Position

Our Kaplan Outlet Sales Associates work to support our sales growth initiatives by assessing customer requirements and product inventory to meet and exceed sales and service requirements for our retail customers. Our Kaplan Outlet Sales Associates contribute to the overall success and new business growth by ensuring the delivery of excellent customer engagement, inventory meets customer demands, and merchandise is displayed in an advantageous manner.

Job Hours: 10am - 5pm Tuesday - Friday and a minimum 2 Saturdays per month - 9am - 2pm

Position Responsibilities Include:

* Service customers by recommending appropriate products to meet specific needs. Operate cash register and prepare written receipts. Assist customers with loading of merchandise.

* Work with vendors to place new orders/reorders and ensure inventory meets customer demands. Responsible for entering item numbers in register for direct order merchandise. Create appropriate displays to ensure merchandise is exhibited in an advantageous manner. Sort and accurately price all new inventory.

* Coordinate processed returns and discontinued merchandise for sale in Outlet Center.

* Occasionally attend local trade shows to exhibit product, assist customers and perform other duties as assigned.

* Provide support in special projects and other duties as needed.

Position Requirements Include:

* High school diploma or equivalent with a retail background preferred.

* Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills with ability to assist multiple customers quickly and in a professional manner.

* Exposure to early childhood needs preferred with ability to learn products.

* Must be computer literate with good communication skills to include ability to read, write and speak in English. Basic math aptitude required. 10-key skills a plus.

* Work well independently and in a team environment.

* Meet deadlines in completing work tasks and projects.

* Retail experience highly preferred.

* Ability to independently lift up to 60 pounds.

* Must be able to work some Saturdays (generally a minimum of 2 Saturdays per month).
