Outlet Store Clerk / Part Time

Hanover Foods Corporation located in Hanover PA is currently seeking a Part timeOutlet Store Clerk. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in operating the Hanover Outlet Store -- ensuring the store is clean, stocked, organized, and customers are satisfied as staffing needs require.

Primary responsibilities

• Rotates stock according to the best by dates and places in store accordingly
• Maintains adequate product on the floor to support sales demand
• Does an Inventory monthly
• Orders product if the Sales Associate II is out for any reason

· Cleans and organizes the store and warehouse as needed

· Rings product up for customers at the register

· Places customer’s product in a bag or box

· Carries product to the customer’s vehicle if necessary

· Closes the store at the end of the day

· Counts cash from the register to ensure the correct amount of money is there at the end of the day

· Records daily dollar sales from all departments on proper documents

· Fills in for other employees if they are out sick, on vacation, etc.

· Communicates employee or customer concerns to Supervisor

· Assists in keeping the store clean and orderly in accordance with good housekeeping procedures.

· Adheres to common safety practices and procedures.

· Performs other duties as assigned by the Sales Associate II or the Outlet Store Manager.

Qualifications

• General math skills
• Ability to operate a cash register
• Pleasant personality and ability to interact with people in a courteous manner The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
• The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
• The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.
• The ability to work cooperatively with others.
• The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• The ability to perform several tasks at once.
• The ability to follow direction or instruction.
• The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.
• The ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
• The ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch, etc.
• The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with the hands and arms.

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
