Are you searching for a rewarding career with a non-profit organization with a mission? Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic Assistant Team Lead (ATL) who has a passion for serving others and making a difference.

To ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Outlet workforce and location through security of corporate assets, customer relations, sale of donated goods, inventory controls and accurate transactions, to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities. Also, provides direction, job training, and support of Outlet team members concerning the proper and safe handling of goods, leading to increased revenues for mission services funding.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Ensures 100% world-class customer service.
  • Under the supervision of the TLC, the ATL hires, trains, develops, supervises, and evaluates team members within the framework of Goodwill policies and procedures and job descriptions.
  • Under the supervision of the TLC, the ATL schedules/maintains labor and payroll in accordance with AGI policies and procedures.
  • Ensures good stewardship of all donations, through proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in and out of the store in accordance with Alabama Goodwill Industries, Inc. (AGI) policies and procedures.
  • Under the supervision of the TLC, the ATL is responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies and all other AGI property in a secured manner in accordance with established budget and practices.
  • Under the supervision of the TLC, the ATL is responsible for:
    • Cash handling
    • Incident/Accident reports
    • Petty Cash and Expense Reports
    • Quarterly PLU Reports and analysis
    • Transfer and Rotation Report
    • Weekly Scheduler with two weeks scheduled for all team members
    • WESA Reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner
    • Work requests (Facility Maintenance and Information Support)
  • Assists in the proper inventory control and rotation of apparel and hard goods in a timely manner to ensure the stewardship of all donations.
  • Supports the Outlet workforce and leadership to ensure that the Outlet team operates within budgeted expense-to-revenue ratios.
  • Provides feedback to immediate supervisor when schedules, labor, and payroll are not in accordance with AGI policies and procedures.
  • Supports the image, maintenance, loss prevention, safety, and security of the warehouse in accordance with AGI policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for communicating with TLC any need of supplies and communicates immediately if all other AGI property is not secured.
  • Maintains compliance with Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facility (CARF) standards.
  • Ensures statistical counts and transmittal of reports as required, in accordance with Goodwill's policies and procedures.
  • Performs assigned duties within the framework of our Guiding Principles and Core Values.
  • May be asked to participate in activities outside of Goodwill.
  • Attends in-service and related training as assigned by the TLC.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the TLC.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience is preferred in a business (retail) setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments required
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects as required by the job.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with the team leader, team members, customers, and clients.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
