Perform duties related to Field Trips at Elise Walker Outdoor Learning Center.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used: Computer, standard office equipment, Science lab and field equipment
Posture: Sitting and standing as necessary, walking outdoors on trail system for long periods
Motion: Ability to move and manage office/instructional materials as needed
Lifting: up to 40 lbs. as needed
Environment: Outdoors year round, Office and storage rooms
Mental Demands: Maintain composure and professional attitude during high volume of activity in the workplace
Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification
- GED/High School Diploma
- Completed College degree or currently enrolled in college (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Present programs to all visiting students
- Ability to use/learn basic computer applications (tablet experience preferred)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be accommodate the needs of a diverse audience of student learners
- Background in environmental/biological/earth science preferred
- Experience working with groups of students in an outdoor setting preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Contribute to the Field Trip experience for students visiting the Outdoor Learning Center.
- Deliver programs following student field guides, lessons.
- Demonstrate effective work procedures at the Outdoor Learning Center.
- Work collaboratively with Instructional Specialist/district/campus personnel.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure facility is safe and operational.
- Provide tours to various district and community groups when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
