Camp Terrier: Outdoor Adventures seeks an Assistant Director to supervise daily operations of an outdoor recreation summer camp for kids aged 11-15. Sessions run Monday-Friday, June 26-June 30, July 10-August 4, 2023. Daily breaks scheduled to equal 40 hours per week. Staff training occurs June 20-21.

In addition to the general qualifications and responsibilities for Camp Terrier, the Assistant Director of Outdoor Adventures responsibilities will include:
- Meeting with Camp Terrier Director and Assistant Director on daily basis/as needed
- Supervising the daily operations of Outdoor Adventures programming including
- transportation, safety management plans, gear rental and maintenance, food and drink,
- and other related operational and programming needs
- Leading, organizing, and providing administrative direction for Outdoor Adventures in
- collaboration with FitTreks Manager and Assistant Manager
- Interacting with guardians to support campers' success
- Leading and co-leading daily trips and events such as hiking, kayaking, rock climbing,
- exploration, and other outdoor recreation activities
- Ensuring camper well-being and safety
- Providing oversight and support to FitRec staff at open recreational periods for
- swimming, rock climbing, and other activities
- Handling day-to-day issues and concerns as they arise
- Participating in staff training and debriefs as necessary
Required Skills
- Must be available for staff training and all sessions.
- Must pass background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with valid driver license.
Experience Required:
- Experience with youth
- Outdoor Recreation experience
- Experience as a supervisor
- First Aid/CPR (or willingness to undergo certification)
- 12 passenger van certification (or willingness to undergo certification)
