Osp Construction- Groundhand

The Groundhand is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of outside plant facilities, such as fiber optic cables, utility poles, and other telecommunications infrastructure. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of outside plant facilities.
• Perform manual labor tasks, including digging trenches, laying conduit, and pulling cable.
• Assist in the placement and installation of fiber optic cables and other telecommunications equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during all tasks.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and equipment used in OSP construction and maintenance.
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in telecommunications or related field is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and equipment.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
