Job Description
PRG seeks an ambitious, motivated, and driven individual to join our team as an OSP Construction Coordinator. This position assists our field inspectors covering NYC Capital construction projects happening close to coax and fiber optic telecom infrastructure in the local market.
The coordinator will survey locations, monitor construction for QC, verify construction schedules, provide measurement/sketch/photo documentation, and cover emergency telecom outages.
The role includes surveying locations and providing measurements, photos, and documentation; producing hand or digital sketches; Daily Construction site visits; confirming construction schedules; tracking crew locations; identifying cable tv infrastructure; attending field meetings; interacting with other utility and NYC Inspectors, Monitor construction for QC, Covering emergency cable outages.
Qualified candidates should meet the following requirements:
- 2+ years in the construction industry, able to read blueprints, ascertain construction scheduling and planning, take accurate measurements, and produce detailed sketches.
- Experience with cable tv, telephone, and telecom infrastructure is a big plus.
- Knowledge of Visio, Nitro, PDF editing software, a big plus
- Ability to work with contractors and coordinate multi-site construction projects
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating and NYC construction code is a bonus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude.
- The candidate must be well-organized, proactive, resourceful, flexible, able to communicate with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform with high professionalism.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office programs.

- Overtime is unusual but may sometimes be required based on the volume of work.
Physical Demands:
- Work is mostly outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
- While performing duties, employees are required to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day.
- Travel amongst all five boroughs.
- You must have a car and a valid driver's license.

- $27-$32/hr
