Form of workThe Department of Orthopedics at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at BIDMC, Inc. (HMFP) is seeking a residency trained and board certified or eligible orthopedic surgeon to fill an acute care orthopedic surgery position at BIDMC and its affiliates and network partners. The selected candidate will be responsible for acute care orthopedic issues, emergency room consultations, inpatient consultations, and level -1 call coverage at BIDMC, and also community call coverage at selected affiliates and network partners.
The candidate will be part of a developing acute care orthopedic service line across several BIDMC and BILH partner institutions. The position will work in close collaboration with and have the support of the Division of Orthopedic Trauma at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School (HMS), and as such will include an opportunity to apply for an appointment at HMS, and participate in the Divisional research, educational, and academic activities. The candidate must have completed an Orthopedic Trauma fellowship or must demonstrate strong longitudinal experience in general orthopedics and trauma practice.
