Hourly range for this position is $18.69 – $24.30

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist provider with in-clinic patient care that may involve

• Report test results to patients as indicated by the physician in a timely manner.
• Chart all vital information in electronic record as well as check to be sure all information related to medication, health history, and reason for the visit is obtained and documented
• Perform phone triage, and post-op calls and respond to voicemail messages directed to them preferably within the same business day, but no later than 24 business hours, and perform action required. Documents all encounters.
• Maintain patient documentation for visits and communications in person or over the phone.
• Coordinate care and diagnostic testing at other facilities as indicated by the physician.
• Obtain prior authorization as needed.
• Assist provider in e-prescribing, and maintaining medication list.
• Assist the provider in maintaining communication with referring doctors.
• Maintain equipment and ensure supplies are stocked and in place.
• Follow all other daily team duties and special tasks as assigned.

• Travel between clinic locations in Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond, and Seattle is required.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Medical Scribes with 1-2 yearsofexperience preferred
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medications
• Familiarity with or working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is a plus
• Basic computer knowledge and skills, including typing speed of 80-100 wpm
• Great interpersonal skills; demonstrating patience, compassion, empathy, and the ability to work well with all types of people
• Adherence to all safety, risk management, and precautionary procedures, including the consistent respect for confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Use time efficiently, with attention to quality, detail, accuracy, and completion
• Consistency, timeliness and dependability
• Effective team membership, supporting and working with others to achieve common goals
• Self-motivated; able to work with increasing independence, and overcome obstacles and challenges with little supervision

Work may be performed in an office and clinical environment. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity is required for the use of a computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. It may require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
