Orthopaedic Surgery-Adult Reconstruction - Faculty Opportunity- Philadelphia, PA

With the appointment of a new chairperson and tremendous growth & demand, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at Temple Health is seeking a dynamic Orthopaedic Surgeon who has completed Fellowship Training in Adult Joint Reconstruction Surgery to join its growing team.

Overview:

• The new faculty member will be mission driven and have a strong desire in aligning with a nationally recognized and thriving Department.
• The ideal candidate will have an interest in revision surgery, complex and diverse patients, and infection control and quality improvement projects. Candidate will be committed to teaching in a center with a commitment to excellence and safety, and interest or track record in clinical or basic research.
• Interest in trauma is a plus.
• Qualified candidates will be BE/BC in Orthopaedic Surgery, trained in an ACGME accredited residency and fellowship program and possesses credentials for a faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor.

The department currently consists of (17) full and part time faculty members all of whom have specific subspecialty interests, and an ACGME training program consisting of (20) residents. Clinical/basic science research and the teaching of medical & podiatry students are active endeavors in our department. We have (4) offices located throughout the Philadelphia area. Our main offices are based at the Temple University Hospital campus in North Philadelphia with other freestanding satellites throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. Each of our locations are staffed by a team of board-certified orthopaedic surgeons and physicians, licensed physical therapists and certified athletic trainers. Radiology services are available at all our locations.
