Orthodontic Assistant ( Will Train)

We are a high tech growing practice looking for an Orthodontic assistant ( will train) to join our family and team! Are you a quick learner, team player, able to multi-task and want to work with both Children and Adults? Then, this is the job for you!

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure instruments and equipment used are decontaminated, cleaned, sterilized and suitable for use.
• Perform equipment assembly, inspection, monitoring, and routine maintenance as necessary.
• Prepare chemicals and solutions used in cleaning of the processing facility.
• Operate sterilization equipment in accordance with written procedures.
• Handle and dispose of waste according to regulatory requirements.
• Complete required documentation of all work activity in accordance with guidelines.
• Provide support to other assistants and front counter team members, as necessary.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Set up and tear down procedure rooms
• Fabricate retainers
• Make appointments ,answer phones, post payments
• Take Xrays and intra and extraoral pictures as well as Scans of patients dentition
• Remove wires,take impressions, take scans
• Other procedures as assigned by the Dr. and staff.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a quick learner
• Must be able to reason independently and work with minimal guidance.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and schedules.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs, performing repetitive motions, and stand for long periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be reliable, dependable, and punctual
• Must be interested in growing with the company with future possibility to be trained to be an Orthodontic assistant and other position that will be a great fit
• Must have good interpersonal skills and be a team player
• Minimum requirement of 32 hrs per week.
• Minimum commitment of 2 years
• PLEASE NOTE: AS A TEAM WE ALL TRAVEL TO OUR 2 LOCATIONS BREMERTON, AND PORT ORCHARD WA, THUS RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS A MUST.

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
