This position is an Exempt position at pay grade 209.
Attendance
Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Overview
The Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for coordinating learning and Organizational Development programs by taking content and preparing it for facilitation. They assist in identifying Organizational Development needs of individual City departments, diagnose potential organizational problem areas, and then implement organizational effectiveness interventions. They also facilitate workshops, conferences, and events for learning and Organizational Development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze data in relation to the success of City departments’ goals
- Create and conduct surveys evaluating effectiveness of City departments
- Track and report progress of improvement plans, programs, and challenges
- Clearly and effectively deliver the purpose of the City of Corpus Christi Organizational Development programs
- Respond to all communication in a timely manner with the utmost professionalism
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees with confidence
- Give presentations upon request internally and externally
- Setup and break down training sessions
- Develop and facilitate workshops and sessions
- Implement and manage all Organizational Development programs
- Manage and lead key stakeholders during the facilitation of training sessions
- Ensure the learning objectives and outcomes of training programs are met
- Create concepts, graphics, logos, etc. for media in various programs and formats
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of media and ability to interchange based off requirements given
- Research and learn new and effective ways to create and deliver messages
- Promote learning and development opportunities to City employees and community
- Build website content for new initiatives
- Create, track, maintain, and adjust incentive budget coordination as needed
- Manage performance appraisal reporting
- Track ROI on Organizational Development initiatives
- Research best price/quality products and complete negotiations when ordering materials
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS); Human Resources, Business, Workforce Development, and Organizational Development preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience
- A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
- A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
