Job Overview
This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house. In this role you will be responsible for fulfilling our customer orders by locating and picking our product in all the picking areas within the Distribution Center so that the orders are accurately packed.
What you will be doing on a daily basis

• Utilize the Order Selector tool to identify and pick full cases of merchandise for restocking purposes.
• Manage returned products using the Order Selector tool, ensuring proper routing back into inventory.
• Utilize an RF device (Radio Frequency device) to locate specific products within the warehouse.
• Meet daily performance standards outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Labor Management.
• Be prepared to undertake other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Some requirements:

• You must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills

Some analytical experience is preferable
You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day

• Experience operating Order Selector (Cherry Picker)

Shift and Schedule:

• Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the morning shift, working Monday- Friday (5:00 AM – 1:00 PM). There is an opportunity for overtime as well.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
