We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our warehouse team as a Cabinet Picker. As a vital member of our operations, the Cabinet Picker will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting cabinet products for customer orders. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Order Picking:
- Retrieve cabinet products from designated storage areas based on customer orders.
- Ensure accuracy in selecting the correct quantity and model of cabinets.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect cabinets for any damage, defects, or missing components during the picking process.
- Report any issues to the warehouse supervisor for resolution.
- Assist in conducting regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Packaging and Labeling:
- Pack selected cabinets securely for transportation, ensuring they are adequately protected from damage.
- Affix labels and shipping documentation to each package.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other warehouse team members to coordinate the efficient flow of products.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with the warehouse supervisor or relevant departments.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts following safety protocols.
- Efficiency and Productivity:
- Strive to meet daily picking targets while maintaining accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall efficiency.
- Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep the picking area clean and organized to facilitate smooth operations.
- Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to the warehouse supervisor.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of picked orders, including any adjustments or modifications.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse picking or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.08 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
