Summary:  

The Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely fulfillment of orders. This role plays a key part of Customer Supply Chain by interacting with Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, Customers Transportation, and Warehouse Teams to guarantee on time service and in full to our customers while maximizing revenue and minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages orders and inventory to maximize fill rate and on time deliveries.
  • Establishes a strong network and foster collaboration with internal customers; Supply and Demand Planners, Operations, Traffic and Sales Managers/Coordinators to address demand-related issues and prioritizes needs based on orders and forecasts.
  • Serves as a "help desk" to sales and sales coordinators by providing answers to questions, solutions to problems, and guidance through the ordering process.
  • Identify material risks, develop mitigation plans and recommendations to manage service levels.
  • Coordinates the flow of information to production, category managers, traffic, distribution center and sales for optimization and to mitigate risks.   
  • Prioritizes inventory to fill customer orders in ABC analysis.
  • Finds solutions for problem orders and decision making to cut items from orders after all options are exhausted.
  • Reports and communications Fill Rate, Forecasts, and Inventory with Sales Team and/or Customers.
  • Seeks process efficiencies to reduce costs and maintain or improve margins.
  • Identifies Master Data issues that need resolution.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $27 to $30.

Minimum Requirements 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in supply chain, ORDER FULFILLMENT, or related field experience.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
  • Works well under pressure and meet deadlines with competing demands.
  • Able to work both independently and within a team generating results with general/minimal guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • SAP experience.
  • An associate's degree, or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.

Work Environment:

This job takes place in typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and has moderate noise.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for long periods often sit at a desk in an office environment.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. During visits to production locations the employee will need normal vision and hearing to safely navigate production floors and warehouse.  The employee move objects occasionally up to 25 pounds.
