Pioneer (an ASSA ABLOY brand) is looking to add an Order Processing Specialist to our team. This role will be based on-site out of our manufacturing facility located in Carlstadt, NJ.

What would you do as our Order Processor?
You will be responsible for accurately entering and processing orders placed by customers into the system for production. This includes interpreting production specifications and research drawings. As an Order Processor, you will work closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing and Sales teams as well as interaction with customers.
You would also:
- Provide technical and problem-solving support to Customer Service, Manufacturing, and customers.
- Interpret hardware templates and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements
- Work directly with customers to resolve template and drawing issues to maximize production efficiency and accuracy
- Create layouts, details, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for release to manufacturing
- Accurately determine all custom product components required for shop drawings
- Define and maintain hardware preparation requirements
- Use document management system
- Ensure compliance to industry standards
- Assist in creating detailed manufacturing drawings, collection and updating all necessary hardware templates.
- Develop detailed drawings, visualizing what issues are going to come during the installation procedure. (interaction and communication w/the customer). (works directly w/customers). (Take specialty orders and process them.)
- Provide customers with different options for best solution.
- Modify existing product design that adjusts to customer needs and meets SDI standards.
- Perform other duties as required

The Skills and Experience you need:
- Diploma in Mechanical or Architectural Technology preferred.
- Degree in Engineering Technology preferred; or 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar role or industry.
- Five (5+) years of drafting/detailing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with AutoCAD , Solidworks, Inventor
- Previous experience with templates and drawings as a designer or drafter within the architectural hardware industry and/or building products strongly preferred.
- Experience or exposure in order processing preferred.
- Demonstrated intermediate-level math skills with a familiarity and proficiency relating to Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry
- Understanding of metal forming equipment limitations and UL specifications preferred.
