Oral Surgical Assistant

We are currently looking for a full time experienced Oral Surgical Assistant to join our multifaceted, multi doctor practice.

Essential Duties include but not limited to:

Assist doctors during local, IV sedation, general anesthesia surgical cases

Provide exceptional patient care

X-ray certified, MA dental assistant license, CPR certified required

Familiar with emergency protocols, crash cart medications

Assist with patient airway

Prepare treatment rooms, set up, decontaminate, sterilization of all instruments, cleaning and restocking

OSHA guidelines

Equipment checks

EMR

Implant systems, assist during Implant surgery

Communicate effectively with doctors, staff, and patients

Recover patients, monitor and record vitals, discharge patients

Familiar with anesthesia protocols

Participate in on-going emergency office trainings, and other CE courses

Maintain cleanliness, empty trash, clean chairs, counters, floors

Review patient medical history, familiar with medications that may interfere with patient treatment ( ie. blood thinners, Bisphosphonates)
