Optometric Technician Responsibilities:

• Assisting with patient care and eye examinations.
• Taking patient histories.
• Teaching patient the insertion and removal of 1st time contact lens wearers. As well as the care and usage of medical devices such as contact lenses.
• Explaining the testing process to patients, preparing them, and administering tests on visual capabilities.
• Keeping records and inventory, and taking notes during examinations.
• Keeping the office organized and presentable.
• Cleaning and sterilizing equipment as necessary, making the exam room ready for each patient.
• Communicate with different pharmacies, multidisciplinary departments within health center, and ophthalmology surgery centers.
• Multitask while maintaining close attention to detail

Receptionist's Responsibilities:

• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email/text
• Answer phones and take messages
• Respond to text messages through our phone system
• Manage mail correspondence
• Greet clients and visitors with a great attitude
• Help maintain office calendar
• Assist with invoicing
• Perform data entry and filing tasks
• Keep up with office supplies and let management know when they are needed, ahead of time.
• Perform other clerical tasks as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
