Your Role:
As an Optometric Receptionist/Technician, you will be the friendly face that greets our patients and sets the tone for their visit. Your days will be a dynamic mix of engaging with patients, managing appointments, and supporting our optometrists in various clinical tasks. Here's what you'll be up to:
1. Patient Care:
- Greet patients with a warm smile and ensure they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they step in.
- Assist in collecting patient information and updating their records accurately.
- Provide clear instructions and information regarding tests, procedures, and paperwork.
2. Appointment Coordination:
- Manage appointment scheduling with efficiency, taking into account the needs of both patients and the optometrists' schedules.
- Handle phone calls and emails, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information.
3. Clinical Support:
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Assist optometrists with preliminary tests such as visual acuity, eye pressure, and imaging as directed.
- Maintain and manage inventory of clinical supplies and equipment.
4. Administrative Tasks:
- Handle patient billing, insurance claims, and record-keeping accurately and confidentially.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Your Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for interacting with people.
- Detail-oriented nature to ensure accuracy in patient records and clinical tasks.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of eye care terminology and procedures is a plus, but we're happy to provide training.
- Proficiency in using office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
