Our Clinical Associates begin their careers with Vision Source Oviedo as a pre-tester. After successful completion of their 90-day probationary period, our internal training program and a minimum of 6-months of continuous employment, they will be eligible to transition to Scribe with additional responsibilities and compensation. Additionally, certifications through the American Optometric Association (CPO, CPOA, CPOT, and CPOC) are available and provided free of cost. Our Clinical Associates are responsible to successfully ready the patient for the doctor in an accurate and efficient manner. In doing so, treating the patient like a guest of honor with the utmost care and professionalism to help us retain this patient for life and obtain additional referrals. Primary responsibilities include:

• Patient is greeted and taken back ASAP.
• Pre-testing patients in adherence to the pre-testing system to ready them for the eye examination in a timely manner.
• Making sure the clinic area is kept clean and stocked at all times.
• Teaching new contact lens wearers on how to insert, remove, clean and care for lenses.
• Helping to organize trial contact lens inventory.
• Meet with the Clinic Manager as necessary; at a minimum monthly for direction and development.
• Accept delegated responsibilities so that all tasks can be completed on time.
• Testing results must be accurately taken and documented.
• Must maintain a clean professional appearance.
• Must be patient and caring during patient interaction.
• Must sanitize equipment in front of the patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 37 per week
