Our eye care clinic is looking to add an Optometric Assistant. We are an established, busy and growing private practice that just recently added an additional doctor; with these additions, more staff is needed. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, works well with the public and is eager to become a member of our outstanding group.
Duties may include:
Checking patients into the front desk
Taking patient payments
Verifying insurance benefits
Answering the phone, along with scheduling appointments
Pre-testing patients along with scribing for the physicians on staff
Training patients in contact lens settings, especially hard and specialized contact lenses
Abilities/Experience that may set you apart from other applicants may include:
Bilingual abilities (especially Spanish)
Fitting and adjusting of frames/lenses
Knowledge of electronic medical records (Revolution) and medical terminology
