Junior Options Trader
About Us:
Founded more than 15 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 350 people operating throughout North America and in Europe. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.
Overview:
We are seeking someone with a curious mind and an entrepreneurial spirit to join one of our options market making desks focused on treasuries. The ideal candidate for this role will be tech-savvy, eager to learn, has the desire to make an impact, and takes initiative. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced traders and apply your knowledge to the desk quickly to help execute trading strategies. Role can be remote based in IL, NY, Texas, or Florida. Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Work side by side with senior traders
- Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
- Leverage quantitative skills in post-trade analysis utilizing Python or similar language
- Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities
Requirements:
- 3+ years of on-desk trading exposure, specifically with options products in a high frequency trading environment
- Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
- Detail oriented and organized
- Experience with post trade analysis using mathematical statistical software
- Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure
- Ability to succeed working as part of a diversified team
- Strong interest in trading and financial markets
- Strong understanding of math, probability, and statistics
- Experience using SQL, Python, and/or statistical modeling software
- Advanced aptitude for problem solving and multitasking
