```Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Ophthalmology Scribe. As an Ophthalmology Scribe, you will play a crucial role in assisting ophthalmologists with medical documentation and record-keeping. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent transcription skills.
Responsibilities:
- Transcribe ophthalmologists' notes and dictations accurately and efficiently
- Enter patient information into electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Maintain and update patient medical records
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for procedures
- Provide administrative support to the ophthalmology team as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transcribing medical documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
