Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for an Ophthalmology Surgery Specialistto join our team. QMG is a multi-specialty group practice with more than 155 physicians and providers in West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri. Responsibilities:The Ophthalmology Surgery Specialist counsels and prepares cataract surgery patients. Acts as a valuable resource for patients, explains the differences between conventional and laser-assisted cataract surgery and provides information about available intraocular lens options.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients of all backgrounds to answer their questions, alleviate their concerns, and ensure they have sufficient information to make informed decisions about their cataract surgery. Displays compassion, empathy, and the ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
