Objective
In a positive and cheerful manner, support and work alongside the Physician and other members of the surgical team to provide an outstanding patient experience. Work with the team to assure that the PCLI philosophy of quality and caring treatment of patients and staff is upheld in all daily surgical activities. This position assists the Physician by preparing the patient for surgery and safely handling and passing surgical instruments during the procedure.

Part Time (up to 23 hours per week)
Schedule
Our normal office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
These are our normal office hours. However, work hours for this position vary based on location, patient schedules and clinic needs.
Certification/Experience Required:
- Verified Surgical Technologist Certification (NBSTSA)
- Ophthalmic scrub experience – prefer 2 years

- Knowledge of Ophthalmic Surgical procedures

Physical Abilities
- Neat, clean appearance
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strength and balance adequate to assist handicapped patients as necessary
- Ability to work occasional long hours with limited breaks
- Good hearing and visual acuity *testing required upon hire date and annually thereafter
- Must have distance vision of 20/40 with or without correction. Correction must be worn while at work
- Able to sit/stand for long periods of time
