SalaryWe are a busy ophthalmic practice looking for an Optometry/Ophthalmic Assistant to join our fast-paced team! BoozmanHof offers a full range of eye care services from routine vision exams to comprehensive medical exams.
The Ophthalmic Assistant performs a range of duties including:
work-up of patients including taking vitals, checking vision, measuring eye pressure, taking a comprehensive medical history, updating medicine as well as performing diagnostic tests such as OCT, Visual Fields, Photography, and Ultrasound. Accurate and efficient data entry into electronic medical health records is needed.

We are looking for a full-time assistant to work in our Rogers location. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with medical coding systems and terminology related to ophthalmology
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Experience working in a medical office setting is a plus
- Understanding of ocular anatomy and common eye conditions
- Knowledge of optical principles, lens types, and frame selection
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
