Job Description
Assist the physician with procedures and care of the patient. Collects subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicates this data to the provider. Must possess and maintain certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an accredited Ophthalmic Assistant program or equivalent experience and hold certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). Basic Life Support Certification required.
Must be a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology and maintain continued COA certification. Basic Life Support Certification required.
