Here you'll interact daily with team members during the problem resolution process and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our internal customers and their responsibilities.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Global Operations Equipment group, you will be responsible for ideation, design, implementation and execution of operation Training and Development programs. This role will support three sites (two production and one distribution), covering both entry level and experienced employee learning and Development. You will bring a balanced approach using both hands-on and class-based learning.
What do we want to know about you?
The Operations Training and Development Specialist will demonstrate understanding for functional, business, and broad company objectives. He/she will indirectly drive critical KPIs in safety, quality, and delivery for a large and diverse section of our production facilities to meeting those company objectives. He/she will do this through process analysis, training design, trend analysis, and learning execution. In this role you will partner closely with the campus teaming leader to infuse positive continuous growth in manufacturing processes, culture, and how we tackle complex personnel issues.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience with heavy equipment manufacturing, electrical assembly, welding and/or fabrication
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Inclusive leader able to work in a cross-functional environment and engage functional stakeholders including HR, Finance and EHS, and Operations
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify critical issues and identify the root cause of complex issues
• Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary to create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Two years' previous experience as a trainer or related position
• Two or more years in Operations, Quality, or similar
• One to two years of leadership in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Bachelor's degree related field preferred
• Certification from talent and training associations a plus

What will your typical day look like?

• Identify solutions to meet key business objectives through training
• Train new hires for success on the production floor
• Track and compile collected data including the use of our LMS
• Pilot and execute key learning objectives
• Use employee development to positively improve culture
• Develop internal subject matter experts to deliver training
• Train and instruct employees at all levels of the local sites

What about the physical demands of the job?

• Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE
• Walking, climbing, stooping, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands on learning process
