Job Summary:

• Aid in the supervision of a group of high performing technicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work extended hours. Some travel will be required. 
• Assist with the planning of overall activities, supervision, and coordination of work with other departments to meet schedules and work efficiently.
• Assist employees to ensure they are properly trained for their assignments and training records are updated. Responsible for all EH&S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities within the area.
• Assist employees in solving unusual problems such as scheduling, interpreting complicated instructions, specification, drawings, service bulletins, engineering changes, use of new and specialized equipment/tooling and reviewing work.

Key Responsibilities: ​

• Plan and schedule of personnel, as well as administrative duties to support Ops Manager.
• Support the Event Manager and Operations Manager to liaison with P&WC and customers.
• Take a lead in regard to coaching and mentoring employees to ensure their personal and professional successes are realized.
• Assist HR in the administration of the FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
• At times may be responsible for the supervision of other areas of the shop during the absence of peer supervisors. 
• Successful candidate must possess proven leadership, interpersonal, and customer relation skills. Possess the ability to create an atmosphere of teamwork. Must be self-motivated, and high-energy with the initiative to direct and lead. Possess strong communication skills and a proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.

Basic Qualifications:

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ Operations Supervisory experience or Associates Degree and 5+ years’ supervisory experience or in lieu of degree 7+ years’ supervisory experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Proficiency in MS Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical experience with P&WC products.
• Proficient in SAP.
• Previous experience as a manager/supervisor in aviation aftermarket supports, and proficiency in CORE tools and philosophy.

• Pratt & Whitney - Bridgeport, West Virginia is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
• Hearing Program - This position is covered under the PWES Hearing Conservation Program and the selected candidate could be a participant in this program.
