Summary:
The Operations Supervisor will oversee one of several different areas in the flow of our pharmaceutical manufacturing needs. This position will work cross-functionally within the organization to facilitate the successful completion of on-time orders, developmental projects and meet all objectives and goals with the assigned area. This role will also have 5-15 direct reports that will require leadership experience to supervise, schedule, coach, and train.
Essential functions:
- Supervise and direct employees and functions of the manufacturing operations areas to include the preparation of equipment and components to be used in manufacturing and packaging processes
- Oversee production flow in the assigned area
- Ensures compliance with all applicable corporate and regulatory SOP, cGMP, and safety guidelines
- Ensures all personnel receive necessary and appropriate training for their job function
- Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate degree and/or
- 2+ years of progressively increasing managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience serving the pharmaceutical or medical device industry is required.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be well organized and detail-oriented with proven initiative and self-starter skills.
- Must possess and demonstrate knowledge and experience in cGMPs and relevant Safety Regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply technical writing skills and instructions.
- Strong knowledge of inventory, material movement and distribution of goods.
- Demonstrated ability to direct individuals and delegate responsibilities and tasks.
- Ability to interact effectively with a variety of individuals within and between departments.
