Operations Supervisor
SUMMARY:
The Operations Supervisor will provide work direction to shift leadership teams and subordinates to achieve safety, machine, quality, cost, and people objectives set by the customer and MAU. You will manage the daily tasks of associates in manufacturing and material handling throughout various departments.

- Associate degree OR 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/logistics environment
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Lean Greenbelt (preferred)
- HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) (preferred)
- Root cause analysis training (preferred)
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills with a customer/client focus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid time management, decision-making, and leadership abilities
- Results-driven aptitude with a teamwork orientation
- Ability to bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to travel to occasional off-site training or team building
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead pre-shift meetings
- Attend daily scheduled performance meetings with customers
- Manage employee work assignments based on turnover and call-offs (support and operate within headcount allocations)
- Communicate shift turnover efficiently
- Perform GEMBA walks throughout the shift (Process Compliance)
- Verify production via Hour-by-Hour reporting
- Address any issues that fall below the target
- Document corrective actions
- Respond to and perform special customer requests
- Address concerns and provide follow-up on action taken
- Update communication boards (SQDC)
- Implement countermeasures and apply containment
- Ensure all 5S, safety, and quality standards are maintained
- Manage MAU associates across the facility, including daily payroll/Kronos, attendance counseling, and compliance with dress code and all MAU policies
- Sustain and support leader Standard Work
- Meet conflicts with proactive resolutions
- Perform crisis management (safety issues, injuries, property damage)
- Provide continuous training to improve associate/team performance
- Oversee Process Improvement
- Assist in safety investigations, including post-accident reporting and drug testing
- Facilitate security compliance and suspension of employees
- Ensure profitability of the minimize/eliminate property damage risk while promoting a positive Safety Culture
- Participate in continuous improvement projects when targets are not achieved
