KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the execution of large strategic projects within the manufacturing network. These projects are typically $30M+ and typically involve strategic movement of lines, decommissioning of facilities, post-merger management, and/or large organizational changes. Provide business oversight for large cross functional teams including multiple streams of work to meet the business objectives of the project. As a part of the Operations Strategy team, this individual may also work on strategy development on an as needed basis

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Initiate and scope major transformation projects, leading early management processes; staff project team, assess and mitigate risks, facilitate timely decision making
2. Oversee execution of major transformation projects to deliver business case on time and under budget; identify and lead mitigation of material risks and issues; engage, inform, and escalate issues to executive stakeholders
3. Assess strategic problems, analyze potential solutions, and align stakeholders on a solution, leading to execution
4. Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field

EXPERIENCE:
  • Practical 7+ experience, primarily in manufacturing settings with a pragmatic sense of what will work, ability to articulate how operational capabilities will create the desired commercial competitive advantage.
  • Experience managing large, cross functional projects with proven abilities to build functional teams and execute through indirect reports.

SKILLS:
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and leadership practices that resonate across all levels of the organization required to lead large scale projects
  • Ability to create organizational alignment with excellent stakeholder management and demonstrated courage
  • Working knowledge of capacity utilization, manufacturing performance, and capital planning practices
  • Practical project management skills, PMP certification preferred
  • Reference Nestle vision, values, and principles to guide day-to-day decisions and activities
