Job Description:

The Operations Research (OR) Analytics Developer performs duties and tasks to support full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation, etc.) to model UPS business situations resulting in the development of applications and algorithms. He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication and to support the achievement of objectives. He/She provides development, maintenance, and support for prototypes, algorithms and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in all areas of lifecycle development

  • Contributes to the process of designing, prototyping and development of tools

  • Assists in the analysis of business needs

  • Contributes to the maintenance and support of existing tools

Qualifications

  • Possesses strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented (OO) Analysis and Design - Required

  • Minimum 1 year of programming experience (can include Intern/Co-Op experience) - Preferred

  • Experience with one of the following languages: Java or C#/.NET Core - Required

  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field - Required

  • Showcases interest in learning new things and solving problems

  • Knowledge of Web Services - Preferred

  • Knowledge of SQL Server – Preferred

Other Criteria:

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required

  • Location: KYARP, 1400 N Hurstbourne Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40223

  • Hours: M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Internal Salary Grade: 20D

  • Internal applicants must apply by end of day Friday, 6/7/24
