Job Description:
The Operations Research (OR) Analytics Developer performs duties and tasks to support full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation, etc.) to model UPS business situations resulting in the development of applications and algorithms. He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication and to support the achievement of objectives. He/She provides development, maintenance, and support for prototypes, algorithms and business needs.
Responsibilities
Participates in all areas of lifecycle development
Contributes to the process of designing, prototyping and development of tools
Assists in the analysis of business needs
Contributes to the maintenance and support of existing tools
Qualifications
Possesses strong communication skills
Knowledge of Object-Oriented (OO) Analysis and Design - Required
Minimum 1 year of programming experience (can include Intern/Co-Op experience) - Preferred
Experience with one of the following languages: Java or C#/.NET Core - Required
Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field - Required
Showcases interest in learning new things and solving problems
Knowledge of Web Services - Preferred
Knowledge of SQL Server – Preferred

Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required

Hours: M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
