Job Description
The focus of this work is assessing problems and solutions in space and multi-domain operations. Job functions include leading analysts in and personally doing the following:

  • Assessing the space enterprise's effectiveness against threats, identifying capability gaps, recommending, and assessing mitigation activities
  • Assessing the impact of doctrine, new technologies and or new CONOPS on the effectiveness of the space enterprise
  • Analyzing and providing recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Rules of Engagement, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises
  • Coordinating with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives
  • Analyzing the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force
  • Comparing, analyzing, and evaluating the relative merits of program designs and alternatives
  • Applying emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development

Essential Job Responsibilities
As the Operations Research Analyst 4, you will serve as the Lead Analyst to create and conduct studies and analyses relevant to space superiority and multi-domain operations; you will oversee the development of tactics, techniques, and procedures to advance the creation of tools supporting Space Domain Awareness and Space Control Analytics. Your daily activity involves gathering data to run experimental simulations while using analytics to define problem sets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of US DoD and IC space enterprise.
  • 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field (STEM degree preferred); 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Professional Doctorate in related field.
  • Experience in analyzing DoD space control operations.
  • Experience using statistical analysis tools that enable identification of key parameters.
  • Experience in multi-domain operations.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI to start.

  • Strong skills in problem solving.
  • Strong skills in strategic and analytic thinking.
  • Able to work in team environment.
  • Knowledge in Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies, practices, and culture
  • Strong knowledge of software development tools like GitLab

Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
