FirstLight Home Care, an award-winning, non-medical home care agency serving the Bay Area, is seeking an Operations Manager. This is a salaried position that ONLY works 4-days per week!! This position requires that the candidate have a PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN GERIATRIC CARE AND HOME CARE or STAFFING OPERATIONS.
Pay: $66,560 / yr

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is directly responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business, starting Friday morning - Monday evening. Responsibility includes, but is not limited to: all scheduling, recruiting / hiring, training, performance management, and supervision; this position directly oversees the Scheduling Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinator Assistant, HR Generalist / Recruiter, and Caregivers all day Friday through all day Monday.
POSITION SPECIFICS
- Responsible for recruiting and staffing / scheduling functions, including confirming assignments with caregivers.
- Responsible for ensuring that assignments and shifts are filled, including finding appropriate replacements as needed. Responsible for maintaining effective on-call schedule to best avoid interruption in service.
- Responsible for employee relations, including recruiting, training, and mentoring of team members; providing corrective action as needed.
- Responsible for communicating with clients about scheduling and / or changes; maintaining professional relationships with clients and team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for team members according to prescribed safety standards; minimizing the potential for workers compensation claims.
- Responsible for acting as a mandatory reporter, including reporting any known or suspected elder abuse.
- Responsible for maintaining computer and paper files as well as all documentation standards, including HIPAA and Guardian compliance.
- Responsible for complying with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and law.
- Responsible for maintaining our high standards, as well as all mission and values.
PREFERRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
- 3+ years of operations experience with direct oversight and responsibility of a team.
- Working knowledge and 3+ years of direct home care agency experience or Staffing Agency experience.
- Proven working knowledge and 3+ years of direct recruitment experience; ability to document and train others on workflow processes.
- Proven working knowledge of Wellsky with 3+years of scheduling and / or staffing experience.
- Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
- Effective and professional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with clients and team members.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends as needed to ensure best-in-class client care.
- Excellent work ethic and flexible schedule; desire for professional growth; accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects at once.
