The Operations Manager position manages janitorial / Clean Room operations that facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals. This position schedules will depend on the needs of the operations in the Arizona region, which can change weekly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversees daily activities of region to maximize scheduling and real-time utilization of resources; analyzes and recommends part-time, flexible, and full-time employee mix for the site.
- Conduct customer audits weekly of A rated customers and as assigned by the regional VP.
- Monitor daily work hours to remain within budgetary guidelines.
- Be able to operate and teach subordinates how to safely operate and maintain all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with Managers, Supervisors and Employees.
- Interfaces with Regional Managers to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence; provides input on local conditions, identifies needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases.
- Manages day porters.
- Conducts customer site inspections; submits customer change orders.
- Provide quotes and supply orders as needed.
- Responsible for job starts, on and offboarding.
- Enacts contingency plans as needed; escalates and directs activities during systems problems, disasters, etc.; identifies potential problems, troubleshoots, escalates issues to Regional Manager.
- Reviews ongoing performance results to targets. Takes corrective measures with authorization, escalate as needed.
- Participates in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning process as appropriate.
- Submits employee change orders as needed in timely manner.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
- Projects a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives.
- Keeps VP of Operations promptly and fully formed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action, which may be taken.
- Performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned.
- Maintains a qualified staff.
- Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned
- Oversees all department related contracts with outside vendors
- Determines standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel assigned.
- Recommends salary adjustments. Transfers, promotions and dismissals.
- Ensures proper training of personnel assigned.
- Develops individuals for future advancement.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's Preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Operations Management experience
- Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Bilingual (Spanish/English), preferred.
- Industry experience (Janitorial, Facilities) preferred.
- P/L management experience, preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job regularly walks job sites.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for leadership, performance management and hiring of the employees within its department.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time exempt position, working flexible schedule in the morning, evenings, and weekends.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
