Operations Manager- Para-Transit Division
Northern Allegheny County based para-transit organization is conducting a search for a Operations Manager. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the C.E.O. Benefits: 401K, UPMC Medical, dental, vision. Company paid life insurance 1x salary. Summary of the position: The Operations Manager would be responsible for oversight of a regional para-transit business that provides transportation to seniors and disabled citizens 365 days a year, throughout Allegheny County. The fleet is comprised of approximately 100 vehicles, both sedans and wheel chair accessible vans. Employee group is in excess of 100. The Operations Manager would be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the division, including, but not limited to, maintaining and developing budgets, maintaining relationships with vendors, consumers, and 3rd party agencies, oversight of the management and supervisory staff, direct oversight of each department within the division.
While we seek/prefer a leader with a transportation background, we will consider a candidate that has extensive management/oversight experience in any field. The ability to manage a large workforce and ensure effective communication between departments, meeting all deadlines, etc. will be the key attributes sought to assume this position within the organization.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Admin, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations management; Master’s in Business Administration a plus; OR minimum 7-10 years direct experience in operations management will be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Demonstrated skill and proficiency in front line staff training, budget preparation, human resources, transportation/fleet services, and financial management. Salary requirements must be submitted.
