Overview:
HGA is a leading architectural, engineering and planning firm seeking a talented, design-sensitive, ambitious Operations Leader to join Allied Disciplines (AD), HGA's quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), specifications, construction administration, cost estimating, and records management team. In this position you will work with the Director of Allied Disciplines and others across the firm to develop strategy to support the firm's QA/QC processes and technical documentation. The Operations Leader will collaborate with and be an integral part of project teams, providing technical solutions and design guidance for the unique challenges of each project.

In this role you will:
  1. Focus on tracking operations within Allied Disciplines (AD) and evaluating performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
  2. Develop a strategy for metrics data collection and organization / visualization and assist the Director of AD in translating strategy into actionable performance goals.
  3. Assist the Director of AD with organizing, managing, and operating HGA's technical practice and quality roundtables, and firmwide documentation standards.
  4. Act as a liaison with other HGA groups and departments to advance the implementation of technical standards and practice in support of HGA's Strategic Plan.
  5. Manage staff utilization and lead regular operations meetings, working with the Director of AD and collaborating with AD staff, project teams, and firmwide technical leaders.
  6. Develop work plans and assign AD staff appropriately.
  7. Work on project teams to provide AD services and as a technical resource, including, schedule, and direct interface with clients.

You will need to have:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in design or construction-related documentation and project management of corporate, commercial, healthcare, and/or educational project types
  • Professional licensure preferred
  • Knowledge of building codes, design and construction requirements for a variety of commercial and institutional building systems and materials
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment
  • High level of motivation and proactivity; willing to take on new challenges
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion for high quality design

Salary Information:
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary range: $89,900-$161,200
