Summary:
Operations Customer Service Specialist 2 - OPS; supports Deposit Exception Services functions which include but are not limited to Payment Exception Processing, GL research, Harland Clarke product ordering/research, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily processing of Payment Exceptions.
- Verification of Cashier Check/s prior to mailing.
- Restitution processing.
- Harland Clarke verifications.
- Additional DES processes as needed.
Schedule: First Shift, with a start time between 7AM – 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday
This is an in office role located at 5555 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, Ohio
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years banking experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting experience (debits and credits)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operational or teller experience
- Experience with -Excel, Word, OneNote, Etc. Passport, Accurate NXG
- Experience or demonstrated working knowledge of at least one of the following processes: Hogan Deposits, Hogan Loans, daily settlement processes including previous experience analyzing, researching and resolving transactional discrepancies related to these systems and processes.
- Experience reconciling GL accounts
- Experience posting payments to accounts, especially ILN and Credit Card
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and be a self-starter
- Team-focused
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Service-focused
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
