The Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team manages the corporate office portfolio and aims to provide a safe, sustainable, and efficient work environment to accommodate growth and enable our client's employees to innovate and delight customers. The Global Project Management Office (GPMO) drives and supports consistency and scalability for delivery of non-construction projects, processes, and documentation across all regions.
The Operations and Portfolio Management (OPM) Team Lead provides directional guidance (roadmapping, continuous improvement activities) to YB Operations team members and is responsible for prioritizing overall work of the Operations team. The OPM Team Lead also provides support for the Portfolio Manager, including project pipeline, resource tracking, project prioritization and backlog management. The OPM Team Lead acts as a thought partner to Portfolio and Operations Team BB. This person also helps the team develop and test solutions and is able to provide directional guidance because of their ability to partner with BBs in understanding the context of the greater organization and strong understanding of GREF priorities.

What this job involves
  • Will ensure operational rigor on all new or existing initiatives. Make Team Leaders responsible to maintain high standards on operational delivery and adherence to key metrics. Drive Team Leaders to ensure Operations Team Leadership, including coaching opportunities, work prioritization efforts, and escalations
  • Develop and maintain mechanisms for supporting the evolution of GPMO project management and promotion within GREF
  • Lead Operations team through mechanism/process development into business as usual (BAU) with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Create and roll out risk governance mechanism for GPMO; removing roadblocks, supporting mitigation efforts, and being an escalation point for team members,.
  • Use prior experience to lead leaders to adopt existing tools and methodology with focus on documenting existing processes. Ensure GPMO resources are aligned with the most important initiatives and re-prioritize resourcing as needs shift. Maintain project backlog as needed.
  • Develop and leverage mechanisms to support optimal PMO service delivery.Achieve consistency and quality through robust and scalable global documentation, mechanisms, procedures, and project delivery, integrating the diversity of all GREF regions
  • Contribute to the development of GPMO three year plan and manage team to deliver to that plan
  • Onboarding and Training (vendor agnostic)
  • Maintain schedule and mechanism for Project Review with GPMO Leadership

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing complex, global projects
  • Proficient in operational management with a strong skill set in process optimization, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Adaptable and able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Deep project management experience; PMP certification or experience in other project management methodologies is desired
  • Team player
  • GREF and/or Amazon experience preferred
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking
  • Understanding business objectives
  • Decision Making
  • Develop, promote, and socialize ideas for improvement
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or Agile Practitioner (desired). Prior experience of running full life cycle on process improvement
  • Experience of working in a cross functional and global environment with stakeholders of all levels

Estimated compensation for this position is:
126,800.00 - 183,900.00 USD
The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
