Operational Risk Analyst II – Temp

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Analyst II to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing various risk management processes and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include coordinating risk management efforts, facilitating risk assessment processes, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. You will collaborate closely with different business lines to improve operational compliance and contribute to the overall risk management framework.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organize risk management development and data collection efforts.
- Facilitate the tracking of open issues and risk assessments.
- Lead projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational compliance.
- Review and evaluate bank policies and procedures within the risk management framework.
- Develop procedures for identifying, analyzing, summarizing, and reporting operational loss events.
- Summarize the results of control reviews in a format suitable for further analysis.
- Maintain the risk management database used for tracking risk events and open issues.
- Assist in the insurance tracking and claims process.
- Utilize analytical review techniques, including scenario analysis, to identify potential issues and determine root causes.
- Produce and distribute reports for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and Board of Directors.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of previous bank-related experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with internal clients, regulators, and auditors
- Awareness of industry trends and regulatory changes
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
