This role is with KBR's Government Solutions U.S. division. This project will provide the Customer's facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.
The Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Site Manager will provide the Customer's facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.
As the Site Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure and outlying buildings. The position oversees facilities engineering, environmental safety, logistics, security monitoring, and emergency management services. With a facility open 24/7, the Site Manager will ensure safe, reliable services for mission operations.
This position is located in the Springfield, VA area.
**You will be required to perform work onsite at one or more facilities in the area.
**Some travel is expected (approximately 10%).
As the Site Manager, you will:
Strategic Vision & Planning:
  • Maintain the overall strategic vision of the Management Services & Operations (MS&O) Directorate, ensuring all budgeting, manning, planning, programming, and other considerations are captured.
  • Support studies and planning initiatives for the facility's future, emphasizing resilience and sustainability.
Client and Stakeholder Relations:
  • Interact with staff, customers, and high-level dignitaries to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to better understand project operations, appraise activities, and assess changing needs.
  • Identify future client requirements and opportunities for improved service and operational efficiency.
Operational Management:
  • Ensure meticulous appearance and maintenance of the facilities.
  • Drive standardization and alignment of tools and activities within planning and asset management.
  • Rapidly identify and communicate any issues that may pose a risk to NRO's current and future operations providing rationale and impact assessments for any recommendations that could influence cost or schedule.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Lead and guide employees; manage staff resources and assign tasks within planning teams.
  • Coordinate work priorities through site alignment and governance processes in conjunction with the U.S. Government and other relevant teams to support site priorities and project execution.
Quality, Safety, & Compliance:
  • Foster an environment that prioritizes Quality and Safety across all elements of the program.
  • Ensure records are diligently maintained and that reporting/deliverables are submitted accurately and timely.
Additional Duties:
  • Apply analytical tools and techniques to assess client organizations, aiming for continuous improvement and transformation.
  • Assist in developing budget requirements and schedules for facility-related tasks.

Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications:
  • Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Security Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or engineering experience related to facilities engineering and operations.
  • 10+ years of experience leading projects or teams.
  • Professional certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications:
  • 5 years of experience in formal management, leading a team
  • 3 years of experience working with business strategy
  • 3 years of experience developing project execution plans, schedules, and budgets
  • 3 years of experience supporting the Federal and/or Intelligence Community
  • 3 years of experience with long range business plans
