Job Title: OPERATING ROOM TECHNICIAN
Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the implementation of delegated patient care activities and preparation of the surgical patient under the direct supervision of the perioperative registered nurse.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Assists the surgeon as a scrub technician and is prepared with the proper equipment and instruments for the procedure.

• Assists the circulating nurse as needed.

• Assists in housekeeping duties of the department as directed to ensure safe patient environment.

• Assists in the transportation of surgical patients to and from the surgical suite as needed.

• Assists in maintenance, care and processing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies.

• Responsible to take “leave word” hours for the surgery department in case of emergencies on off hours.

• Assists in the surgery scheduling process for the department.

Job Specifications:
Education Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technologists preferred.

• Current BLS certification.

Hours: Full-Time – Monday through Friday,7am-3pm – On call every third weekend
